Opening Song

Title: My Roving Heart

Let worldly minds the world pursue
It has no charms for me
Once I admired it’s trifles, too
But grace has set me free

It’s pleasure now no longer please
No more content afford
Far from my heart be the joys like these
Now I have seen the Lord

As by the light of opening day
The stars are all concealed
So earthly pleasures fade away
When Jesus is revealed

Creatures no more divide my choice;
I bid them all depart
His name, His love, His gracious voice
Have fixed my roving heart

Now Lord I will be Thine alone
And wholly live to Thee
But I may hope that Your will own
A worthless soul like me

Yes tho of sinners I am the worst
I cannot doubt thy will
For if Thou had not loved me first
I had refused thee still

Creatures no more divide my choice;
I bid them all depart
His name, His love, His gracious voice
Have fixed my roving heart

Call to Worship

Psalm 130: 7-8

7 O Israel, hope in the LORD!
For with the LORD there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
And he will redeem Israel
    from all his iniquities.

Prayer

Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent, for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Song

Title: All the Poor and Powerless

All the poor and powerless
And all the lost and lonely
And all the thieves will come confess
And know that You are holy
And know that You are holy

And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah

And all the hearts who are content
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothing left
Will know that You are holy

And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah

Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God

Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God

Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses (we sing to you Lord)
That He is God

And we will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
We will sing out
Hallelujah, God

And we will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
We will sing out
Hallelujah, God

And we will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
We will sing out
Hallelujah, God

Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God

Sermon Text

Titus 2:11-14

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Sermon

Song

Title: Rescue

Look at all the broken pieces all around me
Pieces deep inside my soul
I don’t know what’s real, can’t help the way I’m feeling
All I know is I’m alone

I need a rescue, I need a reckoning
From all the things I’ve done and have been done to me
I need revival, I need recovery
I need to know that there’s an answer for what’s missing
Cause something’s missing
Cause something’s missing, oh

Turn up all the music, something to amuse me
Silence is a lonely friend
If you really knew me, could you really love me
Save me from this loneliness

I need a rescue, I need a reckoning
From all the things I’ve done and have been done to me
I need revival, I need recovery
I need to know there’s an answer for what’s missing
Cause something’s missing
Cause something’s missing, oh

It’s like I fell into a hole to deep climb out
And I looked up to the sky and saw you reaching down
Reaching down

You are the rescue, You are the reckoning
From all the things I’ve done and have been done to me
You are revival, You’re my recovery
I know that You’re the answer for what’s missing

Because You love me, oh
Because You love me, oh
Because You love me, oh
Because You love me.
